There are lots of attractions in Motor City. Besides the vibrant motorsport calendar, Dubai Autodrome opens its doors and turns on the floodlights each Wednesday evening, allowing runners, walkers, cyclists and the occasional skater to take to the track.

The Cycle Hub and Revolution Cycles rent bikes and equipment for Autodrome nights or for use at Dubai Cycle Course, a purpose built track that’s just a short drive away. Nearby Kartdrome has an outdoor track for adults keen to get behind the wheel, while the indoor Kartdrome has facilities for beginners. This is a popular venue for birthday parties as the complex also houses Laserdrome Dubai. Fitness First offers gym facilities and exercise classes, and there are several spas available, including Kapok Spa and Whiteroom Spa.

Motor City is just a short drive (10-15 minutes) from Sheikh Zayed Road and Mall of the Emirates. Positioned between two major highways (E311 Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and E611 Emirates Road) residents have easy access to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates. Travellers can reach Dubai’s main international airport or Al Maktoum International Airport quickly by car.

The area has plenty of good places to eat, drink and shop, with cafes and restaurants lined up in a central boulevard. All of life’s necessities are here: pharmacy, bank, hairdresser, pet store, florist, optician, car rental and more. There's also a large Spinneys supermarket and several minimarts.

In addition to a trip around the track, the district offers foodies a tour of the world's finest cuisines. As well as staples like Italian, Indian and Lebanese, there’s the option to enjoy Japanese classics at Sumo Sushi & Bento, turn Paleo (sugar, dairy and gluten-free food) at The Cycle Bistro, or go for your favourite fast food at 82 American Diner. Finding bars in Motor City is a difficult task, but there are several thirst-quenching venues in and around Arabian Ranches and Sports City.

Motor City isn’t on the Metro line, but the F29 bus service links to Mall of the Emirates Metro station. 

Locally there are a couple of preschool options, including Emirates British Nursery, Building Blocks Nursery and Child Enrichment Centre, and The Wonder Years Nursery. Motor City is also home to the GEMS Metropole School which provides International Education from Foundation 1 all the way through to year 10. JESS Primary and Secondary, Raffles International School, Gems World Academy, American School of Dubai and the new Kings School in Al Barsha are within easy driving distance or accessible by school bus.
